WallWisher is a free Web 2.0 tool where anyone can build a “wall” of comments, questions, research, announcements- whatever! Although you do not need to register before you begin to build a wall, it’s best to just do it! Students will be able to distinguish between teacher & classmate posts. Select an image or upload your own.
*Make your own avatar for free. Check out these fun sites: http://www.faceyourmanga.com, http://doppelme.com, http://www.befunky.com.
Click to edit title. Post a question or command.
Just like Twitter or text messaging, you only get 160 characters for each post. Add the URL address of images, audio, or video to add more personality to your wall. Want to add a Power Point or Word document? Just add it to Google Docs or SlideShare first, then get the URL address. Copy & paste address. Remember to set proper preferences when others have the option to post. It’s best to check I want to approve every post before it shows up on the wall to monitor comments for the classroom.
